We get asked this question all the time. Although we love all our poodles, if we could only have one it would be a Male and most breeders will agree.

Males are simple, sweet, straight forward, athletic, loving and extremely devoted family members. Females are complex, independent, loving, sometimes moody and have a mind of their own and will wrap you around their paws in no time flat. If you do not know, most male dogs are chosen for police dogs, working dogs, service dogs, obedience dogs in the show ring, and the list goes on and on, so what does that tell you?

If you cannot make up your mind then one of each sex is recommended.
